FROM 4:00 PM TO 6:00 PM

 

ENROLMENT KITS AVAILABLE

Open to anyone interested in viewing the school.  No need to book.

Tours are free, they start at the front of the hall and run approximately every 10 – 15 minutes.

Tours are guided by Year 7 students.

St Bede’s College, in conjunction with Kilbreda College and Mentone Girls’ Grammar, proudly presents this year’s college production.

 

PERFORMANCE DATES for “Anything Goes” are:

 

September:  4th, 5th, 6th, 11th, 12 & 13th

8:00 pm with an intermission (Snacks and drinks available)

 

TICKET PRICES:       $20 Adult and $15 Students

 

REHEARSALS:           Thursday 28th August – 3:45 pm – 6:00 pm

Saturday 30th August – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (In the Hall)

Sunday 31st August – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (In the Hall)

The Term 3 Year 8 camps will be held at the Scotch College property on Philip Island, whilst the Term 4 camps will be held at the newly renovated St Bede’s College property, Cypress Lodge on Philip Island.

ACTIVITIES:  This year’s program will include a number of activities including:  bike riding, surfing, underwater hockey, high rope activities at Phillip Island Adventure Park, tenpin bowling, walks, a visit to “A Maze ‘N things” and a possible visit to Wilson’s Promontory.

 

COST:  The cost of the camp for each boy is $185.00 which covers all expenses.  The payment is to be made to the Main Office and a receipt will be issued.  Payment should be received by the Wednesday prior to the commencement date of your son’s camp.

 

TRANSPORT:  The school buses transporting the students will leave from school at 8:30 am on the first day and return at approximately 2:00 pm on the last day of camp.  Students may be picked up from the bus bays at the Palermo Street entrance.

All parents should see their son’s Homeroom Teacher.  You may also wish to speak to their subject teachers as well.

 

Every family should have received an appointment sheet.  Your son is responsible for making the appointments to suit you.  It is expected that parents will be accompanied by their sons.

 

Students will be dismissed on both of these afternoons at 2:22pm.

The next meeting for the P & F Association will be held on Wednesday 10th September at 8:00 pm in the College Board Room.  Entry is via the Main Office.  Meetings are open to the whole St Bede’s community and we welcome new faces and ideas.

 

(b) PARENTS & FRIENDS NOTICEBOARD:

Interested to get some clues on how to manage your son’s anger effectively (… and/or your own?).  Would you like to learn how to diffuse negative moods so that the risk of them spilling over into anger is minimised?  Would you like to understand how anger is not necessarily a “dirty word”.

 

Then you’re welcome to hear Pascal Rohan (Teacher/L,ecturer, Counsellor, Psychotherapist) as well as a teacher, student and parent, share their insights.
